Board of Trustees
Jim Spaulding - President
Jim and wife Carolyn have been Anderson Island residents since 1986 and have owned Riviera lots since then.
Jim served 43 years in the military, retired in March 1996 as Sergeant Major, and has served as President, Vice President and Treasurer for the Riviera Board of Trustees. Jim also served on the Forestry Committee, and as Secretary of the Men's Club.
Jim is noted for his detailed spreadsheets created to benefit Riviera Budget Committee since 2003/2004 budget years. His attention to detail for the operation and maintenance of budgets, as well as for the capital budget clarifies and expedites General Manager and department heads actions. Jim attends this duty with practice, patience and determination. His present-day 'wisdom' reflects his years as a leader of soldiers and his 1991-1995 and 2003-2007 terms as a Riviera board member.

George Stewart - Secretary
My wife Murry and I purchased a home and moved to Anderson Island 4 years ago. We are full time residents and desire to make this our home for many years to come.
I served in the United States Armed Services for two years. I then spent the last 13 years, of a 30 year career with the City of Long Beach, California as a Superintendent of Public Works. Some of the responsibilities of this position included:
* Managed 125 employees and a 6 million dollar annual budget
* Oversaw the maintenance of city owned streets and related infrastructure
* Oversaw landscape maintenance operations and maintenance of the 125,000 city parkway trees
* Provided 24/7 assistance for police and fire emergencies
* Communicated with city residents and Long Beach City Council Staff daily
* Sat on numerous committees formed to assist businesses and neighborhoods
* Coordinated activities with neighboring municipalities
Since moving to Anderson Island I have had the opportunity to serve as a volunteer in various positions including:
* Riviera Forestry Committee member and committee chair
* Help coordinate the annual "Hole-In-One" banquet dinner
I belive my experiemce, along with the qualities of other knowledgeable trustees, will be a great benefit to all Riviera Community Club members and the future of this community.

Tony Hooks - Vice President
During the last two years, I believe I have maintained a professionalism and will continue to work diligently to perform the responsibilities as a member of the board of trustees.
My wife Carol and I own a home on Anderson Island. Right now we live there part time but do plan on making it our permanent residence in the very near future. My experience covers 46 years in management along with a degree in administration and an associate of arts degree; Graduate of Professional Development Academy, consisting of administration and management courses. In 1980 I retired from the U.S. Army after 26 years of service, during which time I lead a company of 150 to 250 men as their First Sergeant and recruited administration staff for the Pentagon's Army division. I owned T&L Communications Inc/Columbia Cascade Fire Sprinkler Inc for 20 years until September 2007. My company employed 36 emplouees and produced sales over $5,000,000.00 a year. I am an Electrical Administrator for the State of Washington. I am also a certified Commercial Sprinkler Administrator for the State of Washington.

Ray Young - Trustee at Large
My wife and I both enjoy living here on Anderson Island very much and have called this our home for the last eight years. I feel as though I would make a positive difference in the way the Riviera Board of Trustees interacts with the membership, by being open and responsive to all members. I believe that a transparent Board works best and should be viewed by all members as approachable and honest. I am ready, willing and able to contribute my efforts on behalf of the membership to a two-year term and do my best in making the Riviera Community Club a better place for all of our families and property owners.
Since making my home on Anderson Island, I have served on several volunteer committees geared at helping our community. Some examples are:
* Two years on the Budget Committee
* Three years on the Architectural Control Committee
* Three years on the Forestry Committee
* Chairman for the ACC where the Site Development packet was revamped, making it easier for members to help manage their own property. The revision was voted on and approved by the members.
* Assisted with our Riviera Junior Golf Tournament
* Co-founder of "Beginners Junior Golf" for kids on Anderson Island
Background:
* Retired from a career in the Logging/Heavy Contruction Industry
* Four years honorable service in the Military
* Twelve years as a volunteer with Polk County Sheriff's Department in Oregon; position included Reserve Deputy, Search and Rescue River Patrol and Aero Squadron
Thank you again for your time and consideration. I look forward to the opportunity of making your vote count!
